Week 4

Sports Day Practice Continues

運動会の練習を続けています  

With sports day coming up and no school on Monday we did not have a letter of the week this week. We spent most of our time practicing our dance and playing many games that we will be demonstrating for you on Sports Day.
いよいよ運動会モードとなり、月曜日もお休みだったことから、今週はアルファベットのテーマを設定しませんでした。今週は運動会で披露するダンスや競技の練習を沢山行いました。

Big and Small

大小

We did finish our study into the concept of Big and Small. Children had a great time listening to the book "Actual Size" by Steven Jenkins. As we read the book children were able to compare their own size to different sized animals found around the world. They were able to see how big they were compare to a gubby fish and how small their hands were compared to a Gorilla.

今週で大小の学習は終了です。クラスではSteven Jenkinsが書いた『実物大』という本を読み、みな集中してきいてくれました。本からは、地球上の、自分とは異なる動物の大きさを比較することができました。子ども達は、小魚と比べて自分たちがどんなに大きいか、ゴリラの手と比べて自分たちの手はどんなに小さいかを見ることができました。

Later on they sorted Pictures and shells based on their sizes!
その後、みんなで写真や貝殻をサイズごとにわけていきました。

We also sorted our classmates from smallest to biggest!

Show and Tell

ショー&テル

Next week for show and tell we will like your child to bring in an item that began with the letter Gg. We will be learning about the letter Gg and therefor it would aid them in their learning of the letters.

来週のショー&テルのテーマはアルファベットのGになります。来週はアルファベットGの学習をしますので、身近なものでGが付くものを持ってきていただけると、子供達もより分かりやすくGの学習ができます。

Also, Ms.Celine will be with her family next week. Therefore it will be Miss.Brittany and another teacher in the classroom for next week!

また、来週1週間、Ms.Celineは私用によりお休みさせて頂きます。つきましては、クラスには担任のMs.Brittanyと、他の先生が入りますのでご理解の程宜しくお願い致します。
